Celebrating Steve Summerville’s Retirement
We are proud to announce that Steve Summerville, affectionately known as "The Commish," has officially retired from Tab Recreation as of December 31, 2024.
Steve's journey with Tab Recreation began over 30 years ago as a dedicated football coach, where his passion for the game and commitment to the community quickly shone through. After his coaching tenure, he transitioned into a volunteer role as the football commissioner. Steve's leadership and hard work were recognized, and he eventually joined the staff alongside Ben and Nigel, where he played an instrumental role as the Commissioner overseeing tackle football, flag football, and the popular 7X7 (Friday Night Lights) league.
Steve’s contributions have touched so many lives, both on and off the field, and he will be deeply missed by all of us here at Tab Recreation. His dedication to the youth sports community has made a lasting impact, and while we will miss him, we are excited for what the future holds for him. Steve is looking forward to spending more time with his beloved grandchildren and pursuing various projects in and outside of youth sports.
Thank you, Steve, for your unwavering commitment, hard work, and exceptional service over the last 30+ years. You’ve left a remarkable legacy at Tab Recreation, and we wish you all the best in this next chapter of your life!
